Bill
and Tracy grew up with horses. Bill was a Roy
Rodgers and Zorro kid when he was young, and always
wanted to be a cowboy. He is now living his dream to
breed and show the beautiful and kind Arabian. Tracy
grew up with Quarter horses and when she met Bill,
she went for her first ride on an Arabian, and fell
in love with both.

Windy Gap Arabians is located on two sites
in southern Wisconsin.
The Windy Gap farm is located near Wisconsin Dells,
and was Bill's grandfather's farm. It is named
for its unique rock and bluff formations. It
consists of 120 acres of hills, woods, trails,
ponds, and protected pastures. Young horses are kept
here to grow up, and we often take trail rides
through the hills. The second farm is near the
Village of Deerfield, which is between Madison and
Milwaukee. The mares are bred, foaled out,
and the foals are raised to weanlings here.

Balakardika V and WG Baladancer |
Our
goal is to produce beautiful, athletic,
kind, Arabians, who can compete in halter and
performance, especially western pleasure. We
purchased our first broodmare from Sheila Varian. That mare, Balakardika V, was in foal to Sundance
Kid V. That first foal, a filly, WG Baladancer, was
shown successfully at halter and western pleasure,
and has now become a broodmare who has given us our
first third generation horse, a colt, by Jullyen
el Jamaal. Balakardika's second foal, also by
Sundance Kid, was a colt, Coldplay Kid, who has gone
on to be a national champion hunter. What a great
way to start! We most often use the stallions of
Palmetto Arabians, owned by Frank and Sara Chisholm. Everyone at Palmetto has been a pleasure to deal
with, and have become great friends. |
